Frequently Asked Questions
I specialises in the smaller jobs around the home that often get left on the to-do list.
That includes small carpentry and repairs, shelves, doors and hardware, flat-pack assembly, hanging pictures and mirrors, TV mounting, wall repairs, minor fence repairs and general odd jobs.
If you're not sure whether I can help, just ask. Send me a photo and I'll let you know.
That's kind of the point.
If it's a job that's too small to bother calling a builder, but you'd rather have someone with the right tools and experience take care of it, I'm interested.
Fixed prices start around $150.
No — and that's deliberate.
I'm focused on smaller jobs and repairs rather than renovations, extensions or major building work.
For work outside my scope, I can point you in the direction of people I know and trust.
For jobs where the scope is less predictable, my standard labour rate is $100 per hour, with a minimum charge of $150.
Half-day bookings and full-day bookings are available if you've got a list of stuff you want ticking off.
Materials are charged separately and I'll discuss these with you before purchasing where practical.
Absolutely.
Send me an email with a brief description of the job and, if possible, a couple of photos.
I'll let you know whether it's something I can help with and give you an idea of the likely cost before we book it in.
Bit of a cliche but a picture tells a thousand words. It'll help me understand a bit more than a description like:
"It's just a little shelf. Shouldn't take long."
Photos help me understand the job, what tools and materials I'll need and whether there are any obvious complications.
It also means I can give you a more accurate estimate before turning up.
Yes.
I've got a good range of tools and equipment for the types of jobs I take on, including drills, levels, stud finders, saws and other specialist tools.
One of the benefits is that you don't need to buy a tool you'll use once just to get a job done.
Yes.
I won't promise to leave your house looking like you've had cleaners in, but I will clean up after the job and leave the work area tidy.
For bigger garden jobs like mowing and hedge trimming, I'll speak with you beforehand about your green bin space.
Based in Moorabbin and focusing primarily on Moorabbin and the surrounding suburbs.
Keeping things local means less time travelling and more time actually getting jobs done.
If you're a little further away, feel free to ask — I'll let you know if I can make it work.
Ask.
The list on the website isn't exhaustive.
If you've got a small job that needs sorting and you're not sure who to call, send me a description and a photo.
If I can do it, I'll tell you. If it's outside my scope, I'll tell you that too.
